The patient has the right to choose his/her MEDGroup physician.

The patient has the right to seek medical care at MEDGroup or an alternate medical facility/hospital.

The patient has the right to receive quality medical care regardless of age, race, creed, sex, nationality, or payment resources.

The patient has the right to be treated respectfully and with consideration.

The patient has the right to be made aware of physician assistants or medical students, who may be participating with the physician, rendering medical care.

The patient has the right to privacy, confidentiality of medical records, and confidentiality of any conversations they may have with the employees of MEDGroup.

The patient has the right to be free of abusive or harmful situations.

The patient has the right to participate in the decision-making concerning their health care treatment.

It is the right of the patient to receive explanation of the recommended treatment plan.

It is the right of the patient to agree or disagree with the type of treatment and/or medication with which they are to be treated.

It is the patient’s responsibility to ask questions about the recommended treatment and if agreeing to the treatment plan, to follow the treatment plan.

The patient has the right to refuse recommended treatment.

Refusal of treatment eliminates the physician and staff from responsibility for the patient outcomes.
